If you’re a business owner or work at any business that is trying to make money, you have heard of digital advertising before. You may not have heard those exact words, but you know about advertising on the internet. At its core, that’s all digital advertising really is: advertising online. But with the internet offering you seemingly endless potential solutions to your digital advertising problems, how do you know what is actually right for you?

It all starts with a website. If your company doesn’t have an up-to-date website to solidify your online presence, then stop where you are and build one. Now. Websites don’t have to be extremely complicated, but every company does need to have some sort of web presence; if for nothing else, then to help give your company credibility. You need to ensure your website is easy to navigate, easy to read, and tells your visitor exactly it is that you and your company do.

Now you have a website, but how do we get people to actually visit? How do we build some sort of ROI from this project we just spent a few months on? This is where things can get tricky. There is a whole slew of options for you to choose from, but at C3, we recommend starting with some simple ads on Facebook and/or Google. These ads will be able to reach a wide variety of people (depending on your target demographic) and are great for generating traffic to a specific website. Google and Facebook do their best to make their ad buying process simple, but we recommend using a trusted partner to help walk you through that process. (Don’t have a trusted partner? Give us a call! We’d love to help.)

Once you notice people beginning to visit your site, you should put a call to action on your website. This will entice people to take an action and allow you to make a sale, get a donation, or have someone set up a time for a conversation (whatever your business goals are). With this call to action button, ensure you also have a place to collect email addresses from your potential customer base. With these emails, you should set up an e-mail marketing campaign (automated or manual doesn’t matter as much, as long as you are reaching out to them at least once a month.)

From here, it really depends on your industry and what your marketing goals are. Digital strategy can be very variable and needs to have a well thought out strategy before money is invested. Luckily, C3 Media has a tremendous amount of experience running digital marketing campaigns, from website builds to Google Ads, to Social Media Marketing, and just about everything in between.
